When we met, it was as if our two lives found just the right harmony together, from the love of family, deep friendships, and an energetic zest for life to the honoring of our traditions and the readiness for new experiences. Our lives have become a lively mix of dinners with friends, old-school concerts, wide-ranging travel, and precious family time. Veronica's immersive spirit and J. Plinio's adventurous nature embrace each other, and together we have found partners who both ground and elevate each other. Our story is a vibrant celebration of cultural fusion, resilience, and the joy of finding in each other someone who makes life's journey an adventure worth living. That’s what our love is all about.
Our journey to find each other might be a testament to an old adage – good things come to those who wait. Veronica, with her Midwestern sensibility and rich Cambodian heritage, had always been a pillar of friendly resilience. You might know her life as a tapestry of warm family gatherings, dance, travel, and a quiet yet profound appreciation for the joys of life. J. Plinio embodies an East Coast vibrancy with a rich Cuban-Puerto Rican background. You may know his life as gregarious and passionate, always interested in family and friend gatherings, wine and spirits, adventure and the next challenge. It took us both a while to navigate the twists and turns of our lives before our paths finally crossed.

Valentine's Cambodian
Wedding Ceremony
& Welcome Event
Wedding Day
"Day After" Fun
The "official" start of our wedding festivities will begin the afternoon of Friday, February 14 at 3:00pm when we will honor Veronica’s Cambodian heritage with a ceremony that honors the vibrant and elaborate celebration that beautifully reflects Cambodian culture. The short ceremony will be marked by a series of symbolic rituals steeped in tradition. Our family and wedding party will wear stunning traditional Khmer outfits in vibrant colors, with Veronica in a richly decorated silk blouse and skirt, adorned with gold jewelry, and J. Plinio in a long-sleeved shirt and silk pants. We encourage our other guests to wear pink! Why? Read on! Throughout the ceremony, we will change into several beautiful outfits, showcasing the richness of Cambodian attire. Our ceremony will include key rituals such as a Blessing Ceremony, where prayers will be offered for their happiness and prosperity; a Knot-tying Ceremony, where family members will tie red threads around their wrists to bind their souls; and a Passing of Sacred Flames, which wards off evil spirits and blesses their union. We will enjoy a cocktail reception after the ceremony with special Asian inspired bites, a variety of special drinks and cocktails, and a few fun activities!
For us, our wedding is more than just a union — it’s a celebration of family, community, and cultural traditions, emphasizing a respect for our elders, spiritual blessings, and the deep connections that unite our lives.
The evening of Friday, February 14, we invite you to join us for our Welcome Wedding Dinner at 6:00pm (until 8:00pm). We encourage you to wear pink! If you didn't see why earlier...read on! We will welcome to you with a special private menu. Shortly thereafter at 8:30pm, we will gather for a Valentine’s Welcome Event. This “Pink VIParty” will be our opportunity to start the official celebration together with a Valentine’s theme. Imagine a “white party” with a pink flair, where everyone dresses in shades of pink and enjoys a vibrant, romantic atmosphere. The evening will be filled with love, laughter, and excitement as we kick off our wedding weekend in style. Get ready for an unforgettable night of mingling, dancing, and celebrating love in all its beautiful shades.
Our wedding day will be a magical blend of elegance and island charm. We encourage you to wear Summer Semi-Formal attire. The ceremony will be held starting at 3:45pm on an open-air skydeck offering panoramic views of the pristine beach and shimmering waters of the Caribbean. For cocktail hour at 4:30pm, we’ll sip on tropical cocktails, nibble on Latin bites, and mingle under the warm Caribbean sun while the rhythmic sounds play in the background, including music from a special Yucateca trio. The reception that follows at 6:00pm will be a joyful celebration, with twinkling lights and lanterns illuminating the night sky. We’ll dance the night away under the stars, savoring a feast of local cuisine and raising our glasses in celebration against the backdrop of the sea. From a sparkling display to an "Hora Loca" professional dance ensemble, and with a "famous" Riveria Maya DJ, we'll celebrate until 11:00pm. The "After Party" will start at 11:30pm...and what happens after that stays at the "After Party."
The day after the wedding will be all about relaxation and recovery, perhaps with brunch. Friends and family will gather informally, sharing laughter and memories from the days and nights before. The day’s vibe will be casual and laid-back, lounging in hammocks or taking leisurely strolls along the beach. Some might indulge in soothing spa treatments, while others will opt for a beach volleyball match or a dip in the crystal-clear waters. As the sun sets on our celebration, we will come together for one last toast, celebrating not just our love, but also our love for you and the unforgettable time we shared together.
We really hope you will be able to join us for this special time in our lives, as you will make our celebration even more meaningful and memorable. Your support and love mean the world to us, and we can't wait to share these joyous moments together.
